Blue Etched Pendant – EP400 BTree

My etched ‘Tree of Balance’ has been framed with Dichroic glass in a fusion of blue/black and green to strengthen the design.  The once smooth Dichroic glass has become a fine crinkle texture after my firing process and highlights my silver etching. My inspiration for the “Tree of Balance’ coming from all the troubles in the world today and that’s why I also etched a Chinese character representing ‘Peace’ near the base of the tree.

Capturing the true lustre of my glasswork through the camera lens – simply does not do it justice. It’s only when you physically see it, you notice the beautiful colours shining through.
