I've hand-cut 10 pieces of Dichroic glass to this 4 layered design in the beautiful purple tones. The characteristics of the glass come into play after my firing process. There's only 2 colours used to create this design, the once smooth, has now become a course crinkle purple for the base and third layer, which has been beautifully contrasted with a dappled silver glass. I've hand-cut a single piece of textured Dichroic glass, then after my firing process the characteristics of the glass come into play. The tactile texture has softened to become a magical mix of colours, with a beautiful soft wheat yellow with fusions of green and blue through the textured lines but also has reflective hues of green/yellow with deep blue in the textured lines. I've hand-cut 17 pieces of Dichroic glass from my blue colour palette, then after my firing process becomes a beautiful mix of textures but in this case all in one base colour.
