I’ve hand-cut 10 pieces of Dichroic glass to this 4 layered design in the beautiful rainbow tones. The characteristics of the glass come into play after my firing process. There’s only 2 different smooth glasses used to create this design, an amazing pattern that shows a full spectrum of rainbow colours for the base and third layer, then I’ve contrasted with a dramatic course crinkle in a fusion melon, lime and sunburst yellow for the second an top layer. This impressive ‘Asia’ fan pendant is definitely one of a kind!
Capturing the true lustre of my glasswork through the camera lens – simply does not do it justice. It’s only when you physically see it, you notice the beautiful colours shining through.
This wide Fan shape pendant I named ‘Asia’ is inspired by 3 reasons – my Chinese heritage, travel throughout Asia and my fan collection in my home.
